A. It certainly seems as if Bollywood is investing in Hollywood with the intention of gaining greater international exposure. In addition to the still pending Reliance/Dreamworks deal, Reliance has also invested large sums of money to develop and co-produce movies with production houses run by some of the biggest American stars: George Clooney’s Smokehouse Productions, Tom Hanks’ Playtone Productions, Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment.

Q. Apparently, Bollywood’s Reliance may give Dreamworks the money to break from Paramount. With Bollywood investing in Hollywood, does a Bollywood screenplay stand a better chance of getting financed?
